Apple создаёт секретный MacBook с новой операционной системой
Новое устройство может стать гибридом планшета и ноутбука с адаптированной версией iOS.
Издание 9to5mac сообщило, что Apple разрабатывает совершенно новую модель ноутбука MacBook, который будет больше похож на гибрид смартфона, планшета и компьютера в стиле iPad Pro. Проект носит рабочее название Star, а кодовый номер модели — N84.
Отличительной чертой устройства, согласно слухам, станет процессор с архитектурой ARM. Предполагается, что устройство будет работать на новой операционной системе — гибриде macOS и iOS. Вряд ли Apple решится полностью переносить десктопную систему на архитектуру ARM, а вот специальную версию iOS вполне можно адаптировать под компактный ноутбук.
Сообщается также, что проект Apple Star до сих пор находится на стадии прототипа. В начале 2018 года произведено несколько устройств, которые тестируют сотрудники компании. Вполне возможно, что гаджет никогда не увидит свет.
Не стоит исключать версии, что Apple просто хочет перейти с процессоров Intel на собственные решения с архитектурой ARM. Это уже удалось сделать на устройствах с iOS, где используются чипы Apple A. Но в случае с компьютерами работы нужно проделать гораздо больше. Да и конечный результат далеко не однозначен.
Ранее в Сети появлялись слухи о том, что Apple планирует перейти на собственные процессоры в Mac к 2020 году.
